Question by dreamer: Baby Clothes: What does 3 Month mean?
This is my first baby and we gota lot of clothes at the baby shower. Now we are trying to figure out what we should still buy. The clothes that say 0-3 months and 3-6 months are pretty easy to understand, but many items just say “3 Month” or “6 Month”. Does that mean 3 Month and smaller or 3-6 Month? It’s very confusing because sizing it up against other clothes doesn’t mak e it any easier to tell.

3 months is the same as 3-6 months.

If they just give one month, they are giving you the high end of the scale. So a 3 month onesie fits 0-3; a 6 month outfit fits 3-6; 9 months= 6-9 months etc. It’s not till you hit the Toddler sizes (2T, 3T, 4T) that the sizing reverses.

3 months means your baby can wear the clothes when she is 3 months….( but mostly 0-3 months because those brands that say 3 months run smaller)….3-6 is the range the child can wear the clothes. Now my daughter is 8 months, she is small and can still wear 3-6 months. Just depends on the child…..
same with 6-9 9-12…..Just the month range…..But like mentioned they either are bigger or smaller….You really wont know till you have the little one!

3 months is normally the higher end of 0-3 months or the lower end of 3-6 months.
